Celebrating Jaxon’s 3rd Birthday During the Busiest Week of the Year

Traveling to Disney World with a toddler and a newborn during one of the busiest weeks of the year (December 27–31) might sound a little crazy… but it ended up being one of our favorite trips ever.
This trip was extra special because we were celebrating Jaxon’s 3rd birthday, and somehow it turned into one of those core memory kind of vacations.
Bonus: Both kids were FREE — Jaxon technically started the trip at age 2, and Audrey is an infant.

We stayed at the Dolphin & Swan Hotel and worked with a Disney travel planner, which I highly recommend — especially if you’re visiting during peak season or traveling with kids. Between the crowds, dining reservations, and ride strategies, having a pro made everything smoother.

Day-by-Day Breakdown
Day 1 – Disney Springs

We kept it low-key:
• Walked around Disney Springs
• Dinner at The Boathouse
• Bought our MagicBands
Perfect chill start day.
Day 2 – Magic Kingdom

We used the Minnie Van service through Lyft — 100% worth it with kids.
We arrived by 7:30 AM and rode:
• Winnie the Pooh
• Teacups
• Carousel
• Test Track
• Dumbo (Lightning Lane)
• Peter Pan
• Pirates of the Caribbean
By 3 PM, we headed back to the hotel for naps — game changer.
Birthday Room Surprise

After everyone fell asleep, I stayed up decorating the room with Mickey decorations, a Spiderman theme, and gifts ready for the morning.
Core memory unlocked.
Day 3 – Jaxon’s Birthday at EPCOT

We rope dropped:
• Ratatouille
• Nemo
• Soarin
• Frozen
We snacked our way around EPCOT and of course… birthday ice cream for Jaxon.
Day 4 – Chef Mickey’s Breakfast

Hands down one of our favorite moments:
• Met all the characters
• Got autographs
• Jaxon was obsessed
We brought his autograph book from Etsy — such a sweet keepsake.
Pro Mom Hack: Bubble Wands
DO NOT buy them in the park. They’re expensive and your kid will want one immediately.
We brought our own from Amazon and it was a HIT.

Traveling to Disney with two little ones felt intimidating at first, but it ended up being pure magic. Watching Jaxon experience Disney on his birthday was worth every single second.
If you’re planning a Disney trip with babies or toddlers — you can do it. With the right prep, it’s unforgettable.
